7-13-2010 UPDATE:
Click here for the State of Alaska's official pamphlet "Information for Shareholders of ANCSA Corporations"—
which details (by statute and regulations) the many, many breaches of reporting, communication, and other fiduciary responsibilities that our directors have made and are continuing to make.

7-2-2010 UPDATE:
Total revenue now exceeds $1 million from Alindeska Development Services LLC's Talon Ridge Development in Spokane, Washington.

Our Directors still have not made any accounting for this money. The latest sale was at the end of May, 2010. What will it take for these Directors—people who have blatantly snubbed their noses at shareholders and shirked their fiduciary duties to shareholders—what will it take for them to answer shareholders? Whose pockets is this $1 million filling? They don't defend themselves because their inaction is indefensible.

Another fiscal year has passed without ANY AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. By law (Alaska statute) and by the terms of our by-laws, shareholders are entitled to audited financial statements. THESE DIRECTORS HAVE IGNORED US FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT FISCAL YEAR.  FY 2009 audited financial statements were due by June 30th, and (again) not a word from our so-called directors.

DID YOU KNOW: Tom Harris continues to suck money out of the federal contracting programs on behalf of Tyonek, to the tune of hundred of millions of dollars. Jackie Rashleger's minority construction company, Amerind Builders, has received over $4 million under federal contracting. Other people (such as Mike Rawley) are affiliated with other native organizations that have taken their share of federal contracting money. And yet, this group were at the helm of our organization when they allowed employment withholding to go unpaid to the federal government, allowed contributions to union funds to go unpaid, failed to pay state taxes. So why, when these people wear their other hats, are they allowed to put their hands into the federal coffers and continue to draw millions of dollars for their other minority business interests?

12-1-09 UPDATE:
I finally was able to speak to a Director, Mr. George Samuel (phone 253-630-9852), 10:00 am 12-1-09.

I told Mr. Samuel that I was calling about nearly $800,000 from the land deal in Spokane. His first response (and he said this at least twice), "You'll have to ask the bank for that information." When I told him that the bank wouldn't tell me anything, he then said I should contact Mike Rawley. "All that I know is that you've created a negative web site that hurts us who are trying to do something."

He then moved into the old "We asked you to join us, I've only been here 2 years, and instead you put negative things on the web site."

I first told him that if anything is incorrect on the web site to please let me know. I also told him that before I join anything, I want information about what I'm being asked to join, and why haven't they (the board) provided any information to shareholders for years?

I then asked him if he knew that in November 2006 I was asked to join the board via telephone, I agreed and was told that I would be installed the following week in a telephonic board meeting. I was then called back within the next day or so, and was told that I would have to wait to be installed at the next regular board meeting in person, and was given a date when I had already planned to be out of the country. I was then told that I had to wait until the following May board meeting, 6 months later.

"Well, I don't know anything about that," he said.

I told him that I would be willing to consider joining the board if they provided information to me. [I have since written to the board of directors expressing my willingness to join the board provided they send me financial and other information with which to reach a reasoned judgment on the decision; I wrote: To show my good faith willingness to consider his offer, I would be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement to keep confidential any information that would not otherwise be available to any other shareholder upon an appropriate shareholder request. Please let me know how you would like to proceed with a request for information in order to assist me in considering joining the board of directors.]

He then stated "As far as the project in Spokane goes, Mr. Johnson has a lot to do with it." I clarified that he meant Troy Johnson, which he confirmed, and then added "but I'm not going to say anything more about it because you'll just twist it and put it up on your web site. You've created a lot of negativity with the web site."

I said that I have written each of the directors with an offer to put their responses to questions on the web sites—word for word, exactly as they write them as long as they are responsive to the questions, but hadn't received a single response from any directors willing to communicate with shareholders—and he said that even if they did, I would just twist that, too.

He then said that this conversation was enough and hung up on me.
